dated for 1838 and with later conversion to percussion from flint, with brushed bright 41 1/2in barrel, applied boat shaped brass fore-sight, shallow notch rear-sight moulded to top-tang, offset snail and blinded vent, dated lock signed in cyrillic and bearing date, walnut full-stock with brass furniture, double headed eagle stamped to the heel-plate spur, finger-grooved lower tang, two brass barrel-bands, twin banded brass nose-cap and iron under-barrel ramrod
