A WHITE-METAL MOUNTED BURMESE DHA,
specifically from the Chinese Shan circa 1890, with 19 1/2in. slightly curving single edged blade broadening towards the tip, white metal guardless hilt bound in variegated wire and with raised bands, the foreward section faceted and bordered by larger bands, characteristic 'lotus bud' pommel, complete with its white metal mounted wood scabbard with flared tip and moulded bands mounted centrally to an exposed wood arabesque panel, the throat with thick red rope binding (binding distressed and faded)
