circa 1800, with straight double edged 26 1/2in. blade decorated with gilt scrolls on a blued ground (some loss to blue and staining to polished section), short blind narrow fuller near hilt, natural bamboo shaft and hilt, white metal band at throat, the hilt bored through, the aperture lined in white metal and fitted with a silk tassel
