Remington & SONS, ILION NEWYORK USA' over 'NEW MODEL', the right hand side of barrel-throat crudely stamped 'CA142', provision for ejector rod (rod missing), plain five-shot cylinder, solid frame with loading cut-out, brass trigger guard bow and iron grip-straps with smooth walnut grips
