dated for 1888, with 33 1/4in. blued barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, slab-sided receiver signed 'B.S.A. & M.CO.' together with the model number and date below the 'V.R.' crown device, sold out of service stamps to bridge, blued feed ramp, walnut butt-stock, iron furniture including chequered heel-plate and short under-lever, two barrel bands and under-barrel clearing rod, retaining much apparently original finish
