circa 1864, with re-blued 22in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, folding ladder rear-sight, faint traces of model details at breech, vertical dropping block receiver, the lockplate with in-built pellet primer and marked 'R.S. LAWRENCE PAT. APRIL 12TH 1859', the body of the lock marked 'C. SHARPS PAT. OCT. 5TH 1852', straight hand walnut butt-stock, no provision for patchbox, iron heel-plate, under-lever opening, saddle-ring mounted to left hand side of the receiver, walnut splinter fore-end and single iron barrel-band, refinished throughout
