circa 1810, with round turn-off 1 1/8in. blued barrel, broad engraved band at muzzle, squared boxlock action engraved with borders, stands of flags and trophies, the signature within engraved banners reading 'PATRICK' on the left and 'LIVERPOOL' on the right, borderline engraved central hammer with sliding safe surrounding the neck and also locking the roller frizzen, rainproof pan, concealed folding trigger and walnut slab-sided butt with radiused edges and bearing a clipped corner rectangular silver escutcheon at the wrist, traces of colour
