A SCARCE BOXED PRESENTATION 200TH ANNIVERSARY PONIARD FOR EMPLOYEES,
manufactured in 1972, with polished narrow 10 3/4in. blade etched with scrolls and the manufacturer's trademark on one side along with a central panel etched '1772-1972', the reverse plain, moulded gilt cross-guard with rolled and carved quillions, ivorine smooth grip swelling just below the centre and turned end-piece with vertical tear-drop pommel, complete with its black leather scabbard with gilded mounts and together with its dark red leatherette case, the lid with a brass plaque reading 'PRESENTED TO E.l.h. CROSBY ESQ. BY WILKINSON SWORD LTD. ON THE OCCASION OF THE COMPANY'S BI-CENTENARY 1972', the interior with pale satin lined lid and red velvet covered tray, slight storage discolouration only
