for 1852, with re-blued 6in. octagonal barrel signed in two lines at the breech, plain re-blued cylinder (scene removed), re-blued open frame, plated trigger-guard and grip-straps with much original plating remaining, smooth walnut grip and hinged under-barrel rammer; TOGETHER WITH an interesting after-market period walnut storage case, compartmented and lined in blue baize with a number of earlier accessories not original to this gun, the inside of lid with period gummed Colt instruction label, the outside of lid with inlet brass escutcheon and stamped 'REISSUED'
