A .577 (REGULATION) PERCUSSION PISTOL SIGNED TOWER, MODEL 'COAST GUARD', no visible serial number,
dated for 1855, with brushed bright round 6in. barrel, bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, Tower proofs and ordnance stamps at breech, borderline engraved flat lock with crown and 'V.R. stamp to tail, walnut full-stock with brass furniture, iron lanyard ring at pommel and shaped iron belt-hook mounted to the left hand side, captive iron rammer, traces of a retailer or contractor stamped to left hand cheek, possibly 'TERRY'
