circa 1866, with 7 1/2in. octagonal barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, the grooved top-strap signed 'ROGERS & SPENCER, UTICA, N. Y.', plain unfluted cylinder, plain frame, martially marked smooth walnut flared grip-plates, iron trigger-guard and colour-hardened hinged under-barrel loading lever, the whole with virtually all its original finish except a small area to front lower frame and appearing little used
