PROSSER, LONDON
A BRITISH CAVALRY OFFICER'S MAMELUKE-HILTED SABRE,
circa 1815, with curving 32in. blade false edged for the last 12 1/2in., the forte etched 'PROSSER, 9 CHARING CROSS, LONDON' to both sides (blade cleaned and re-sharpened, decoration removed), plain iron cross-guard with langets and bishop's mitre quillions, ivory grip of typical shape held with two floral iron rivets and fitted with an iron lined knot-hole at the pommel, complete with its iron scabbard (painted black) with twin loose suspension rings
