A HUNTING HANGER,
probably French, early 19th century, with 22 3/4in. single-edged fullered spear-point blade, gilt brass hilt decorated in low relief including downcurved rear quillon with ram's head finial, quillon-block with bull's heads, pierced trophy of arms collar and knuckle-guard with a horse's head on the bow and a dog's head finial, faceted horn grip, black leather scabbard with brass mounts en suite with the hilt (blade polished, quillon-stem slightly bent).
