A BRITISH 1796 LIGHT CAVALRY TROOPER'S SABRE,
circa 1805, with broad fullered curved 32in. blade broadening at the tip, the back edge signed 'REDDELL & BATE, BIRM.M, plain stirrup hilt with broad langets, ribbed leather grip-piece and eared back-strap with integral pommel-cap, complete with its iron scabbard (exposed iron surfaces except blade mildly stained and pitted)
