dated for 1915, with 6in. barrel of 'MKVI' style, the left side of top-strap marked with ordnance stamps and 'MARK 'V', break-open frame with auto-ejecting fluted cylinder, sold out of service arrow markings, double-action mechanism, hard rubber chequered birdshead grips, the whole stripped of finish and 'in the white' and contained within an English market oak case lined and compartmented in blue baize together with an ammunition tray of 20 inert .455 rounds and a woven lanyard
