circa 1881, 25in. octagonal barrel with matted sight flat, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear sight with white metal inlaid sight line and marked for 50 yards, plain blued action marked 'MANUFACTURED BY WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. LIMITED. BIRMINGHAM.' on the left and 'DEELEY-EDGE PATENT' on the right (slightly at fault), automatic trigger safety, 14 1/4in. figured pistolgrip stock including buttplate, splinter fore-end with cross-pin release catch and carved horn finial, weight 5lb. 3oz.
