for 1972, with blued 4 3/8in. barrel (proved 2011) signed 'COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.', blued, fluted cylinder marked '.22 LR' around the base, colour-hardened frame, blacked trigger-guard and grip-straps, smooth cocobolo-wood grips with gold-coloured inlaid 'Colt' medallions, assembled with gold-plated grip, action and cylinder release screws, gold plated cylinder arbor and ejector rod, the whole appearing unfired TOGETHER WITH ITS ORIGINAL WOOD CASE, the interior lined in mustard velvet, the inside of lid with an outline of the State of Florida, the State Seal, Colt logo and the legend 'FLORIDA TERRITORY SESQUICENTENNIAL 1822-1972', the outside of lid embossed with the same design (box-lid badly scratched)
