31in. nitro proved fine damascus barrels, broad rib gold-inlaid 'C.G. BONEHILL MAKER LONDON.', 2 7/8in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and true cyl. choke, large frame treble-grip action incorporating C.G. Bonehill and W.J. Matthews lever cocking patent 1952 of 12th May 1880, use number 443, the top of the standing breech with oval details gold-inlaid 'BONEHILL MATTHEWS' 'HAMMERLESS GUN', and 'ECLIPSE', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine scroll engraving, the underside with a brace of pheasant, the triggerguard with two pointers, retaining traces of colour-hardening and finish, 14 3/8in. figured stock with ornate chequering borders, the fore-end decorated en suite, Deeley & Edge patent fore-end release catch and with horn finial, weight 8lb. 2oz.
