A 10-BORE (BLANK) SINGLE SHOT SALUTING CANNON, MODEL '1898 CANNON', assembly no. 537,
circa 1903, with 12in. plain taper barrel of the rare thin muzzle variety signed with the Winchester address (feint), hinged breech, heavy cast iron two wheeled trolley with 'W. R. A. CO TRADE MARK REGISTERED IN US' in raised letters on the side panels, the trolley with later red paint, muzzle pitted to outside.
Provenance: It is understood that the thin muzzle was discontinued in 1908
