circa 1880, with blued 27in. 'Henry' rifled round barrel signed 'A. HENRY, EDINBURGH', block and blade front-sight, two folding, one standing leaf rearsight with additional adjustable ladder sight, left hand side of barrel with calibre designation, top of breech-block marked 'PATENT No 2063', plain action body signed 'HENRY'S PATENT' on the left hand side, separate stepped unbolted plain lock signed 'A. HENRY', plain hammer, figured straight-hand unchequered walnut stock (old crack and repair to wrist behind lock), steel heel-plate, under-lever with 'Henry's' catch and plain unchequered walnut splinter forend with cross-bolt fastener (traces of colour throughout)
