LONDON.', open sights and bead foresight, triggerguard underlever with integral skeletal pistolgrip, carved percussion fences with side-clips, non-rebounding floating back-action locks with bolted dolphin hammers (screws replacements), fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining traces of original colour-hardening, 14 1/2in. well-figured stock with cheekpiece, sling swivels and including chequered steel buttplate, weight 8lb. 11oz.
Provenance: We are kindly informed by the makers that this rifle was completed in 1877 for the Marquis de Hoensbraech.
