A CASED 54-BORE MUZZLE-LOADING PNEUMATIC AIR-CANE WITH 140-BORE RIFLED INSERT,
circa 1880, with 20 1/2in. sighted barrel section, 37 1/2in. overall, black japanned finish to body (some losses to finish), brass barrel insert and ferrule with ebony rammer, turned down horn handle, concealed trigger TOGETHER WITH its original baize-lined mahogany case with a full compliment of accessories including rare brass valve covers, twist-steel pump signed 'BENJN. COGSWELL, 224 STRAND, LONDON', ebony gripped pump handle, ball-mould, turn-screw, cocking key combination tool and wad-punch (baize lightly distressed in places, some compartments loose)
