circa 1790, with two-stage 33 1/4in. possibly shortened barrel, the octagonal section inlet with a central area of open yellow-metal scrolls, moulded bands at the intersection, engraved top-tang, borderline engraved semi bevelled-edged lock signed 'CONWAY', rainproof pan, roller to the frizzen-spring, walnut half-stock cut back from full and chequered at the wrist (cracked through and repaired), engraved brass furniture, no under-rib but two brass thimbles applied directly to the barrel and horn-tipped wood ramrod
