A .750 FLINTLOCK MUSKET, MODEL 'INDIA PATTERN BROWN BESS', serial no. 655/778, WITH BAYONET,
circa 1810, with brushed bright 39in. barrel, Tower proofs, moulded band forwards of the flaring top-tang, borderline engraved military type lock signed 'TOWER' on the tail and with a 'G.R. and crown device below pan, ring-necked cock, possibly period chained pricker and pan-brush, walnut hand-rail full-stock carved with an apron around the top-tang and fitted with brass furniture including trumpet mouth ramrod pipes and complete with an iron under-barrel ramrod, together with an iron socket bayonet signed 'DAWES' (cleaned with some light staining) and fitted with a reproduction buff leather sling, overall length without bayonet 55in., weight approximately 9 3/4lbs.
