circa 1890, with blued octagonal 24in. barrel signed 'REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y.', dove-tailed nickel-bladed fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, colour hardened rolling block receiver with blued hammer and breech-block, the left side of receiver with patent dates to 1873, figured walnut butt-stock with heavy semi-crescent iron heel-plate, walnut splinter fore-end with ebony inlay to the schnabel tip, the whole retaining much factory finish and colour
