for 1854, with blued octagonal 7 1/2in. barrel signed 'ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW YORK CITY', hinged under-barrel rammer, roll engraved plain cylinder, open iron colour-hardened frame, silver plated grip-straps and walnut one-piece grip, the whole retaining a strong amount of blued finish where appropriate and much colour (plating worn to back-strap)
