circa 1877, 30in. black powder only reproved bold damascus barrels, the rib engraved '2' and 'BOSS & CO. 73 ST. JAMES'S STREET. LONDON.' and with a starburst at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, right wall at 18, carved percussion fences, rebounding sidelocks with dolphin hammers, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, hammers and furniture reblued, 14 3/8in. highly-figured stock with steel heel and toe plates, some insert repairs to edges of fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 14oz., in a modern canvas case
