for 1899, 30in. nitro reproved barrels (in 1974), rib gold-inlaid '1' (engraving worn illegible), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, border engraving, the underside engraved 'PATENT EJECTOR', 14 1/4in. stock (swept at the comb) including 1/2in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 7oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in 1899 for a 'Mr Potts', and was later sold to a 'Mr Byng' in 1904
