A MATCHED PAIR OF 20-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTORS, serial no. 25098 and 25670,
for 1939, 28in. nitro reproved chopperlump barrels, the ribs engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. ENGLAND' and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, removable striker discs, cocking-indicators, articulated front triggers, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining virtually full renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. stocks (slight sweep at comb) including 1in. rubber recoil pads, weight 5lb. 12oz. (No.1) and 5lb. 8oz. (No.2)
