circa 1878, with ovoid 4 1/2in. barrel, small crescent fore-sight, top-strap with sighting groove and marked 'R.B. RODDA & CO. CALCUTTA', ejector rod operating on a crane around the rear of barrel, plain six-shot cylinder with forward locking notches, solid frame and semi saw-handled chequered walnut one-piece grip, a plate and lanyard ring to heel, the whole refinished and complete with its retailer's oak storage case lined and compartmented in blue baize with provision for ammunition and retaining a cleaning rod and turnscrew, the inside of lid with parchment Rodda trade-label
