probably French circa 1840, with round 1 1/4in. blued turn-off barrels decorated with gold bands and geometrics, muzzles cut for key, borderline and floral engraved squared boxlock actions with moulded off-set hammers, carved nipple bolsters, smooth horn bag-shaped grips and flush-fitting automatic concealed folding triggers, both pistols housed in an embossed leatherette case with rounded edges and corners and lined internally in the continental fashion with purple velvet (faded), together with a steel mould combination tool incorporating a nipple and barrel key
