circa 1770, with slightly swamped two-staged 37 3/4in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'SANDWELL, MINORIES, LONDON', applied fore-sight on star-shaped ground, London proofs and Sandwell's own makers mark (granted in 1766) to breech, shallow sighting groove to top-tang, engraved lock with moulded bevel-edge and signed 'SANDWELL' in a banner below the pan, roller frizzen, walnut handrail full-stock with brass furniture, inlaid wire monogram to wrist, acorn finial, three iron barrel-keys and replacement ramrod
