A CASED 8mm (PALM) SQUEEZE-FIRED POCKET-PISTOL, MODEL 'MITRAILLEUSE', serial no. 1373,
circa 1880, with roll engraved nickel-plated 2 1/8in. barrel, raised sighting rib with bead fore-sight and marked 'MITRAILLEUSE', sliding dust-cover for breech, roll engraved receiver top and sides, the right hand side marked 'MANUFACTURE FRANCAISE D'ARMES DE ST. ETIENNE', the left with three position selector and instructions 'SURETE', 'FEU' and 'DECHARGEMENT ET DEMONTAGE' and chequered bakelite grip-piece to the squeeze-bar, much plated finish remaining and complete with its original moulded leather 'cigar case' storage case
