circa 1856, with octagonal 5 5/8in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the top-strap marked 'LONDON ARMOURY COMP'Y (LIMITED)', plain cylinder with London proofs, borderline engraved solid frame with sliding cylinder locking safe to right hand side, double action mechanism and coarsely chequered semi saw-handled walnut butt with iron butt-cap, a Brazier type rammer fitted to the left side of barrel, strong amount of original blued finish remaining, weight approximately 2 3/8lbs., overall length 12 3/4in.
