circa 1864-66, a copy of the Colt 1862 Police, with round 6 1/4in. barrel marked along the top 'METROPOLITAN ARMS CO. NEW-YORK', plain non-creeping rammer, stepped and fluted cylinder, open iron frame, single action mechanism, brass grip-straps and trigger guard, smooth walnut grips and traces of colour and finish, overall length 12in.
