A 10-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN, no visible serial number,
circa 1860, with 28in. browned twist barrels (reproved for black powder in London, 1979), the top-rib signed 'T.K. BAKER, LONDON', scroll engraving to the rib-end, silver bead fore-sight, scroll engraved top-tang with shallow sighting groove, borderline and scroll engraved bar action locks featuring central depictions of standing gamebirds, scroll engraved dolphin headed hammers (right with competent repair), walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture (reblued in antiquity, detail rubbed) and probable original brass mounted wood ramrod, strong traces of colour below surface staining, length of pull 14 1/4in., overall length, 44in., weight approximately 7 1/8lbs.
