A 48-BORE FLINTLOCK CANNON-BARRELLED BOXLOCK POCKET-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1795, with tapering and banded turn-off 2 1/8in. iron barrel (frozen), London proofs and maker's mark to underside of breech, radiused border and feathered scroll engraved action signed 'TURVEY' to lower edge of right hand side, central swan-necked cock, slab-sided walnut butt with white-metal wire inlays and sliding trigger guard bow safe, 7 1/2in. overall, weight approximately 3/8lb.
