A 12-BORE FLINTLOCK BRASS-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS WITH SPRUNG BAYONET, no visible serial number,
circa 1815, with 12in. triple staged barrel, moulded bands at each intersection and at the flared muzzle, the top flat signed 'LONDON', Birmingham proofs, concaved faced triangular bayonet mounted along the top of barrel, hinged at muzzle and retained via a catch at tang, borderline engraved flat lock with clipped and engraved tail, sliding safe behind cock, rainproof pan, walnut full-stock chequered at the wrist (chequering rubbed, working brass plate repairs below lock and on side cheek, cracked through and repaired at front of comb), engraved brass furniture and original brass tipped ramrod, overall length 27 1/4in., weight approximately 5lbs.
