A RARE .500 (40-BORE) TWENTY-CAVITY BRASS BALL-MOULD,
circa 1840, of slab-sided scissors form with pouring troughs each with ten apertures top and bottom, one side marked 'I. PARKES BIRM'M', '40' and stamped with a crown trademark containing the initials 'I.P.', integral offset brass handles each fitted with a brass collared turned hardwood bulbous file-handle (some age cracks forming), 12 3/4in. overall, weight approximately 4 1/4lbs.
