serial number on barrel only, 24 1/8in. black powder proof octagonal barrel, matt top flat with banner engraved in script 'J. BLANCH & SON. 29 GRACECHURCH ST. LONDON', open sights and two folding leaf sights with white metal sight lines and marked '25', '50' and '100', bead fore-sight, horizontal sidelever, fine acanthus scroll engraving, retaining traces of finish, 14 7/8in. figured pistolgrip stock with horn pistolgrip-cap and steel buttplate, later sling swivels attached, weight 5lb. 1oz.
