Krupp-steel nitro reproved barrels with raised matt rib, flip-up open sights, bead foresight, the breech end mounted with a Hensoldt Diasta 4x32 telescopic sight, serial no. 167466, in quickly-detachable mounts, with a second Schmidt & Bender 2 1/2-8x telescopic sight, serial no. 8291, in quickly-detachable mounts, 2 3/4in. shot chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, the rifle barrel lined to 7x57R (circa 1972), treble-grip action with carved serpentine fences and side-clips, manual side lever safety, cocking-indicators, triple lockwork, the sideplates operating the shot barrels and barrel cocking, the third lock mounted on a detachable triggerplate with sidelever cocking lever, set front trigger, two piece horn triggerguard, profusely engraved with bold stylised acanthus scrollwork on a matt background, surrounding and invading woodland scenes of grazing roe and red deer, the underside with the makers name and model designation, toplever relief engraved with the initials 'J.B.', 13 1/2in. figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, hogsback comb, sling-eyes, steel and horn pistolgrip-cap (swivels to initiate release of triggerplate), engraved steel ammunition trap and including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, weight 7lb. 5oz. (unscoped), 8lb. 4oz. (with Hensoldt scope) and 8lb. 8oz. (with Schmidt & Bender scope)
