circa 1875 and of Lefaucheux style, with blued octagonal 4 3/4in. sighted barrel, the right hand side of throat marked 'ARENDT BREVETE A LIEGE', plain cylinder with external ratchet locking, open stepped iron frame, walnut bag-shaped grips, lanyard ring at heel and guarded trigger, screw mounted ejector rod under the barrel, the whole with a faded refinish and some mild shallow pitting
