circa 1780 and possibly Continental, with round iron stepped two-stage 12 1/2in. barrel, the forward section with flat sighting plane, possible German armourers stamp at breech, flat bevel-edged engraved lock with stepped tail, roller frizzen, walnut full-stock, heavy brass furniture including long-spurred swollen butt-cap, beveled lower tang and finial, feathered sideplate and moulded thimbles, probable replacement ramrod
