possibly Italian circa 1765, with two-stage 12in. barrel, moulded band at the intersection and traces of engraving to the breech-flats, solid top-tang, curved and radiused lock with engraved detail, walnut full-stock with white metal wire inlays to butt, iron furniture including long-spurred butt-cap (some polished out brass detail) and iron under-barrel ramrod
