BOSTON, MASS, PAT'D MARCH 6 1860' (rubbed), Spencer pattern cut-off, back-action sidelock with external hammer, walnut straight-hand butt-stock with magazine tube concealed in the iron heel-plate (magazine at fault), walnut three-quarter fore-end, three iron barrel-bands, the second with provision for swivel, minimal traces of finish throughout
