A 20-BORE PERCUSSION SINGLE-SHOT HOLSTER-PISTOL SIGNED 'HILLIAR', no visible serial number,
circa 1845, with twist iron 8in. octagonal barrel, bead fore-sight, engraved lines and scrolls at breech, scroll engraved top-tang with standing notch rear-sight, moulded and engraved snail, borderline and scroll engraved back-action lock, dolphin headed hammer, walnut full-stock with chequered bag-shaped butt and brass-tipped under-barrel wood ramrod
Other Notes: This is almost certainly the work of John Hilliar of 133 Suffolk St. Birmingham, although he is last recorded working in 1835
