circa 1835, with re-blued octagonal turn-off 2in. barrels, engraved bands at muzzles, the top-flats signed 'S. CARTWRIGHT', octagonal Birmingham proved breeches joining border and foliage engraved radiused actions with central iron hammers, sliding safes to the top-tangs, chequered bag-shaped walnut butts with oval escutcheons to the wrists and concealed automatic triggers
