A 28-BORE FLINTLOCK ALL-BRASS BELT-PISTOL FOR HIGHLAND DRESS SIGNED 'T. MURDOCH', no visible serial number,
last half of the 19th century, with triple-staged 5 1/4in. barrel, engraved panels at breech, scroll engraving at the intersections and octagonal profiled flared muzzle with border and scroll engraving, moulded lock with engraved tail and signed 'T. MURDOCH' forwards of the iron hammer, side sear, all brass three-quarter stock with engraved bag-shaped butt, iron belt-hook to the left hand side, brass ball trigger and iron carved and turned under-barrel ramrod (some loss to engraved detail)
