English, second quarter of the 19th century, with 31in. span bow, iron-mounted walnut stock chequered at the wrist (cracked through and repaired), folding arm fore-sight, replacement folding rear-sight pierced with four sighting apertures (iron parts with surface corrosion), complete with a later but accurate replication of the original string
