A SCARCE .22 (L/R) COLT 'SERVICE ACE' SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL, serial no. 5953,
for 1935 and numbered as an 'Ace', with 5in. brushed bright barrel with floating chamber, blued side with fixed fore-sight and adjustable rear-sight, the right side of slide marked 'COLT SERVICE MODEL', 'ACE' within a diamond border and the calibre, the reverse with Colt's address and patents, blued frame with arched mainspring housing and grip-safe, chequered walnut grips, lanyard loop at heel and complete with magazine marked on the base 'COLT .22 ACE L.R. SERVICE MODEL', virtually all apparently original finish intact
